  9. Some of the features:
  10. * Freeware, no payment required.
  11. * Usage is similar (or better) to the standard AmigaDOS shell.
  12. * Supports the standard housekeeping commands which are builtin,
  13.   so no disk access is necessary.
  14.   eg. list, dir, cd, rename, makedir, delete, copy, path, info, type
  15. * A total of 64 builtin commands.
  16. * About 26K small (pure assembler code, source included).
  17. * Starting from Workbench or CLI/Shell possible.
  18. * Filenamecompletion by simply pressing TAB.
  19. * Review-buffer to see what scrolled out of the window.
  20. * Command line editing better than KS2.0 .
  21. * Command and Function key aliasing.
  22. * DIR and LIST both sort (by default) and show filesize.
  23. * Simple 'MORE' type text viewer.
  24. * Some commands and features for debugging system/programs.
  25. * Online HELP function and documentation with examples.
  26. * Has a kind of Memory-Clock with alarm.

  29. Description:
  30.   ZShell is a small (26K), fast and powerful SHELL with many (64) builtin
  31.   commands. So it replaces most of the commands in the C: directory
  32.   what effects in saving disk space and reducing disk accesses. There
  33.   is no way around ZShell for those who do not have a harddisk or still
  34.   have Kickstart 1.2/1.3 . But it is useful for those with a better
  35.   Kickstart and/or harddisk, too, because for example it has powerful
  36.   editing & history, filenamecompletion, review buffer and a lovely
  37.   LIST, DIR and INFO command (very sensible ones !). I tried to made
  38.   usage similar to the AmigaDOS Shell for easy using.

  40. Note:
  41.   This is an update to Version 1.3 on the Fish Library Disk 537 from
  42.   Paul Hayter. I (Martin) tried to ask him for permission to release
  43.   this, but he has not answered. Because it is still Freeware and the
  44.   original executable with documentation is included, I do not think
  45.   that I am doing something nasty. ( In the original distribution
  46.   there was the source code included but there was nothing stated
  47.   about changing the source. )
